Apply Crabgrass (Pre-emergent Control) & Fertilizer
Pre-emergent such as Team found in FL Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food will help prevent crabgrass from growing by seed up to 16 weeks (environmental conditions will vary results). Additional applications of a pre-emergent (Hi-Yield Dimension) with out a fertilizer can be applied June 1, and again July1 for broadleaf weeds and crabgrass prone areas.
If you want to seed and put down a crabgrass control you will have to apply either tupersan or siduron. These two products will allow grass seed to grow and prevent crabgrass from growing.
