We are always pleased to hear from industry professionals considering a new position. Even if we don’t have an immediate opening, we may be able to establish a connection that may lead to a future opportunity.
As anyone who has worked in the green industry knows, ours is a very seasonal business. Our garden center can do as much business in one hour on a peak weekend in May as it does in a week in January. Most seasonal hiring is performed in March of each year. Owing to the volume of applications we receive for seasonal positions each year, we regret that we are not able to respond to all candidates. As spring approaches, our staff becomes consumed in giving the best service possible to customers. Once our initial seasonal hiring is completed in the early spring each year, we will only consider new candidates if unforeseen staff shortages occur.
Our industry has particular challenges relating to the employment of students. We have put together a write up that we encourage all students to read before determining whether to apply. To access that write up, please click here. Special consideration is given to those students who are pursuing a career in the green industry. Internships may be available for such candidates.
