Store Operations Lead, Delivery

A BIT ABOUT YOU

Diligent, patient, and conscientious, while you enjoy the sense of stability that comes with having clear processes, you enjoy the challenge of an occasional, unexpected request. Curious and analytical, you produce precise and accurate work while continually looking for opportunities to improve. You like to be the approachable and detail-oriented person on the team and are committed to doing work well from start to finish. And while you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done, you can also be vulnerable enough to ask for help when you need it.

A BIT ABOUT US

We like plants, people, and beautiful spaces. John Mulhall came to Omaha in 1953 to landscape, and now, three generations later, we’re as committed as we’ve ever been to making Omaha a more beautiful place to live. Today we’re a team of a few hundred people, but our focus remains the same: working together to engage our community and share our passion for the beauty of the natural world. And we have fun doing it.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a member of the Store Operations team at Mulhall’s Garden + Home, you’ll work to locate, assemble, stage, and deliver plants, patio furniture, fresh-cut trees, and a variety of other products. You’ll be accountable for the customer and vendor experience during deliveries and pickups as well as the communication needed to complete them. You’ll report to the Store Operations Manager and start each day at the Stonegate warehouse.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Champion operations processes, using the forklift to backstock, down stack, pull, and push merchandise
  • Own the customer experience by keeping the facility safe, clean, and orderly through daily cleaning routines
  • Pitch in as needed to help the team complete other priority tasks

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A belief in and passion for our purpose – beautifying our community
  • 2+ years of years of retail experience, preferred
  • The ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with a consistently positive response to pressure
  • A supportive team player who anticipates problems and works collaboratively to solve them

WHAT WE OFFER

  • An inclusive, passionate, and fun work environment
  • The opportunity to grow your career in concert with the natural world
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our business and community
  • An amazing discount on all the plants and plant things you love
  • Competitive pay and access to a full benefits package including 401(k), 401(k) match, PTO, paid holidays, medical, vision, dental, paid family leave, company-paid short-term disability, an Employee Assistance Program for free and confidential mental health, legal, and financial services, referral bonuses, Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flex Spending Account (FSA) options, pet insurance package options, wellness partnerships, community membership partnerships, and retail discount partnership
